The Strategic Partnerships Program (SPP) provided funding of $5.2 million annually over the 2011 - 2014 period to 83 community, cultural and professional development associations. The funding is used to deliver student learning programs and professional learning for teachers that are linked to Departmental priorities and initiatives.
There are a wide range of partners involved in the program that offer student or teacher focused learning programs. The programs include artists in schools, multicultural and drama programs, sustainability in schools and historical programs.
CPTAV is the Secretary for the SPP Advisory Group and works closely with DEECD and members of the SPP advisory group. Within this role CPTAV works with the Professional Teaching Associations Network to and informs associations about relevant and up to date information.
CPTAV has two priorities under the SPP funding;
- To enhance and build Professional Teaching Associations capacity through providing professional learning to inform best practice,
- To manage the Statewide Resource Centre and inform policy and protocols within.
