Applied Learning Pedagogical PracticeThe development of Information Skills, Collaboration Skills, Communication Skills and Resource Management Skills all contribute to successful Applied Learning. Vocational Education and Training (VET) is the general learning of the post-compulsory years of education which has a vocational perspective. It includes elements such as generic employability skills, enterprise education, career education and community and work based learning. CPTAV presents workshops in conjunction with the Victorian Applied Learning Association and the Career Educators Association of Victoria which help teachers to fine-tune the vocational aspects of curriculum development. Both VET and VCAL(the Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning) acknowledge that everyone learns differently. CPTAV helps teachers to better integrate learning so that both student engagement and content relevance is enhanced.
