Networking Event for all Association Staff

The last time we checked in 2021, there were about 120 paid staff working in Victoria’s teachers’ associations.

We’re going to give them a chance to connect, learn from each other, share solutions and feel more engaged in

our collective endeavour. Let’s bring together our finance people, administrators, event managers, membership

officers, journal editors, etc. And if your association doesn’t have paid staff or regular contractors, come along

and seize the opportunity to pick their brains!

Culture is Life Workshop for CPTAV Members

Culture is Life is an Aboriginal-led, Not-For-Profit organisation, which supports young people to deepen their connection

to culture, Country and community, contributes to global knowledge and positively impacts the health and wellbeing of

this and future generations. They develop education projects include curriculum resource development, social impact

campaigns and teacher training. All their materials are developed by a collective of First Nations educators and young

people to inspire teachers to creatively embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories, peoples and cultures in

their classrooms.

We are delighted that Culture is Life have developed a professional learning workshop specially for CPTAV members.

This is designed to help us with our own cultural competency as well as our efforts to support our members with

teaching Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander culture and heritage in appropriate and engaging ways.

This is a free session for CPTAV members, but registration is essential. Please note that due to our agreement with

Culture is Life, only organisations who have registered will be able to access a recording of the session.
